Go to a granite shop that makes granite counter tops. The sink cut-outs make great work surfaces. Some of these shops will give you the cutouts for free.

I have made a few reusable craft aids. Got a sheet of heavy clear mylar from art supply store. Sized an image of my pattern on the pc and printed it on regular printer paper. Taped the paper to the mylar. Used a small stylus to trace the image into the mylar (pressing relatively hard as I traced). Removed the tape and paper. This left a raised area on the bottom of the mylar similar to a craft aid. Prep my leather and rub the pattern onto it. I have even used clear plastic squeeze bottles from dishwashing soap - the plastic is somewhat pliant. For one time projects, I will print an image on a piece of computer paper and trace it with a stylus.

I guess it would depend on what's in the bottles - lol. I love the mad hatters hats - great job.. Seen an absolutely beautiful one in the Tandy store in Winter Park, FL - done with veg tan with lots of design work and inlays. Not sure if I'm ready to tackle one at the moment.

A billfold style but with a center "page" added (Picture a book with only one page). This will give you 4 page surfaces for 5 card slots each and exterior surface (front and back for carving). All additional space for thickness of pages and credit cards. It will be about 1/2 to 3/4 inches wider than a normal wallet - may be difficult to get out of pocket. Otherwise do a holder similar to a biker's wallet - 10 to 12 slots on each side.

Nice work. I have a flowery one I'm working on for my daughter between other projects. I know how much time even a belt can take. As far as making the green lighter, if using water based stains, put some green into a container and add a little bit of acrylic white. Mix and test until you get the color you want. Some tole paints soak into the leather well and can be used to mix custom colors. Dont be afraid to step outside of the "rules" and experiment.

I'd probably do the skin in golden oak. The hair - 1st layer in pink then use red and yellow to give the hair a fiery look. Leaning towards black on the garments but don't want to hide the details in your artwork.

Beautiful Job. I have been looking for a way to protect a subwoofer from the elements. Your Leather Covered Tool Pack has sparked some thoughts on a great way to do so.

Looks like it was Laser Printed. Laser print reverse image and then heat transfer.
