I started making small knives years ago, and never worried about the sheaths. A while back I met a real Leathersmith who liked one of my knives, we became friends. He made a sheath for one of my personal fixed blade knives that I carry while in the woods, I gave him one of my knives. A friendship was born and he started teaching me the craft. Mainly I hang out with him when not working on my stuff and he has taught me the basics. We are now trying to teach me some basic craving skills, not as easy as he makes it seem.

I enjoy working with leather on my off time. Have learned a lot more on this site. Everyone here is very helpful and friendly. I have found a lot of good information searching the site.
