So this would require pattern making, cutting the parts, hand sewing and finishing the edges, correct, no tooling or finishing? What you have shown is not a problem on either, I can draft the parts on CAD, cut a pattern on a laser, and so on, just need the sizes desired, "a scope of work required", and I understand that you would supply the materials, correct? Also this would be your design and I would agree not to copy.

  2. I would like to try the brand angelus but I used liquitex acrylic with a blending and painting medium. White a touch of burnt umber mix then a wash of burnt umber blend for the skull and feathers. Then some old spectra shade in red and chocolate brown mix for the shield background and the curved bars are a mix cadmium yellow and burnt umber blend. The far background I used eco-flo desert tan. Thank you for the comments.

  3. Hi Andy, my name is Tim Lauts and I live in Atchison KS but born and raised in the sandhills of Nebraska . Thirty miles from North Platte in a small town, Stapleton. I understand that you are interested in saddles, have a good friend in Arthur Nebaska, one of the best in the country, Denny Rose of Rose Saddlery. Amazing to watch him work.

  4. I am a CAD instructor by trade and do leather tooling as a hobby. As for the topic, I would like to add to the discussion. I use CAD for patterns and print them on card stock for smaller projects and use a large scale printer for medium and larger projects. I also use Illustrator and many others, depends on what I feel like using. What I want to share is a great CAD software is Draftsight and there is videos and tutorials by the company, the neat part is the software is totally free. Once you learn to use the software, I think that you will find it rather simple and quite the time saver.
