  • How did you find leatherworker.net?
    google
  1. I got lightingales message but could not return the call to canada. sent her a pm but she hasn,t responded.
  2. Going into a different hobby. Over $2000. invested. Selling all for $300. I will keep the drill motor, two pegboards. and one table. Pickup in Fort Worth only. Good opportunity for someone getting into leatherworking or adding to your shop. call Grady at 682 559 8937.
  3. Practice, practice, and more practice. Everyone has ruined pieces during the learning process. Don't know about Florida but here Tandy gives free classes. For inspiration I look in the forum at pieces that well experienced artists have made. I will pick something I haven't made yet and make it as many times as it takes for me to be satisfied with it. have you tried a starter kit from Tandy? They come with everything you need to make several projects,(including tools). I just bought three or four tools a month and maybe a letter set a month till now I have enough to make anything. Plenty of instructional videoes on the Tandy website and Youtube also. Also, the good people on this forum are not stingy with information! Keep at it!
  4. Thats really nice! Wish my tooling looked that good!
  5. Hi all, I haven't posted in a while. I thought this wallet turned out pretty good. What do you think?
  6. Good job on the lacing. The slight choppiness and toolmarks in the beveling will go away with practice. Overall very nice for a "first time" Keep at it!
  7. ramrod was spot-on with the glovers needles. much tougher than tandys regular stiching needles. Bought a pack of ten and am still using the first one a month later. Just dull the tip a bit and you're in business.
