Hojem replied to Hojem's topic in Hardware and Accessories
Excelent Camano Ridge, just what i was looking for. -
I am looking for these cone head shaped same brown studs that are being used on civil war era bags and pouches. Anyone know where I can find these online? Like the one that is used here: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Replica-US-Civil-War-Union-Reenactors-Leather-Rifle-Percussion-Cap-Pouch-/291204107572?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item43cd1e0d34 Thanks, Johs.

Thanks TXAG, but they dont let me search there site. Even when i make a profile to log on. This seems to be a regular hardware store who sells metal bars by the foot, but I know that these bars exist precut and with holes in them I just cant find out who sells them.

I need steel reinforcement rails fro satchels. The type that goes under the lid where the handle is fastened. My regular supplier is out of stock and want be selling them anymore. I have tried Ohio Travel, Tandy and Abbye, but they dont seem to stock them. Anyone know where I can find these rails or what the correct name for it is. Searching for "steel rail" on google isn't very usefull. Thanks, Johs.

I am looking for some high end tuck locks for a bag that I am making. Searched all over for tuck locks in solid brass, but it dosent seem to exist.Or am I wrong? There are many different models out there. If i dont find one made of solid brass, what should i be looking for? Need one that is 1" wide. Color dosent matter that much as long as it is good quality. The lock will be hidden on the bag. Advise is appreciated! Cheers, Johs.

Thanks Tree Reaper, but they are a bit different than the one I am looking for. I need one that looks like the one in the picture. Ohios a more rounded. I dont mean to be picky, but my customer is:)I have seen the Ohio catalogue. A lot of good stuff there, but how do you order from these people? Phone or fax order and no online store, seriously!? Anyone outside US have any experience with them? Cheers, Johs

Hi, I am in the market for a 1 inch wide tri bar slide in solid brass. Like this one but in solid brass http://www.josephseg...d.com/node/5809 I need this for a reproduction of a Winchester gun sling, but it seems difficult to find them in solid brass. Anyone have any idea where I can get it? I live in Norway so it preferably needs to be someone that can ship to Europe. Cheers, Johs.

Powder Dyes
Hojem replied to CADBURYS's topic in Dyes, Antiques, Stains, Glues, Waxes, Finishes and Conditioners.
Is these the ones you use http://www.stewmac.com/shop/Finishing_supplies/Colors,_tints,_and_stains/Inlay_Filler_Colors.html?tab=Pictures ? How do they blend with alcohol? I used to buy the powdered Seiwa dye from Goods of Japan on ebay and mix it with alcohol, but they dont list it anymore. I am now keen on finding an alternative (inexpensive that is). johs.
