Hello, all. I have a brand new cobra 4 premium package machine for sale. I have never used it. I set it up just to have it sit, then I broke it down to move across country from California to South Carolina. I'm only missing the DVD as it's still packed away some place. Machine is like new and I can deliver within reason. Located in Fort Mill South Carolina. No trades as I'm unfortunately getting out of the hobby/business for now. $2700 please email me if interested dnhcxmhb@gmail.com
  8. Always work light to dark. Looks like 3 colors to me on my screen. Yellow, orange and brown for the edges.
  9. Very nice. As for price, I would ask at least $135. Don't undercut yourself and your work.
  10. Less dye to alcohol ratio. Try adding drops of dye to the alcohol instead of alcohol to the dye until you get a tint you prefer. Depending on weather or not you are using oil dye or standard they make a white as well. So you can add white, and as Tina stated, a pink to change the color.
  11. Thank you for your reply, Art. As I am completely new to sewing machines, I have never even used one for fabric, or anything in general. Would a medium duty be capable of sewing the thinner leathers with less pressure on the foot? Is there an option for a brush vs servo motor when purchasing these machines?
  12. I would be looking for a cylinder arm. I do a lot of motorcycle seats and thick belts and wallets.
  13. What would be a suggestion on a machine for sewing thick leather/multi layered leather about 1/8"- 1/4" thick?
  14. Andy- Just wanted to thank you for the suggestion. I went down there over the weekend and they had everything I needed, and great prices. Will be going there regularly now! Thanks again! Couldn't be more pleased right now.
  15. I have not. I do have a re-sell number. Thank you for the reply and suggestion. Do they carry most brands of oil dye?
  16. I am in California... the wonderful state that doesn't allow oil dyes to be sold. I am wanting to purchase some Fiebing oil dyes. Does anyone have a recommendation where to purchase from outside CA? I'll make a trip to Nevada or Arizona. Not asking to have them shipped. Thanks for any insight.
  17. Just thinking out loud, but if it was me, I would try drawing a blade across the leather to knock off the stragglers, or skive, and then re-burnish as per what you originally did.
  18. Answer is in his pictures most likely. The texture is most likely done by hammering the wet leather onto the stucco. That is my guess anyways.
