I learned how to do carving when I was in 8th grade in the early '70s and I did a few projects when I was in high school, but then came along girls, drinking, college, job, career, wife, and mortgage payments. With the exception of wife, who I am very happily married to, the distractions have fallen by the wayside and I have been devoting more or less full time to leatherwork since mid May 2013. There are still many miles to go, but eventually I hope to be making briefcases with figure carvings. In the meantime, I'll be treating you all to the various projects I do on the journey.
