Thanks, VanDutch. For this set of bags, I used 6 - 8 ounce black latigo. I hand stitched the gussets.

Sean, I didn't know either, I tried it with this project and it worked. Not good for a lot of detail, but a simple design will work.

Do you shape the leather with a vacuum mold, or wet form it. Also do you have gun molds to help with the patterning/shaping? I've been looking for some, but have been unsuccessful. Your work look like an experienced craftsman did them, not a beginner. Very nicely done! Dan -

I can manage attaching files, but whenever I attempt to embed the application seems to freeze up and I need to restart the browser page. I think I may not be doing it right. Any help would be appreciated. Dan

I just wanted to take a minute to say hello and to introduce myself. I'm Dan and I own Steel Horses, a developing online business that focuses on motorcycle accessories. Saddlebags, tool bags, and whatever else I can think of. I have always loved leather working and I am always open to learn new things. I've attached a picture of a seat that I built recently.
