  1. Anyone know the pulley bore for the pulley on the machine?
  2. It's no big deal. I just wondered how heavy i could go. Will it punch two layers, or is it best to stay away from the sole leather?
  3. Will my Seiko SK-6 sew three layers of 10oz sole leather?

  6. Going to look at Union Contract sewing machine, able to an inch of leather. It is a three phase, 220V powered machine, not worried about that, I can handle a motor swap. Came from an awning and canvas factory, then to a home where they did harness work. I have to ask about bobbins, needles, etc. Anyone know anything about this machine to help me decide on it?
  7. Why not glue the elastic as you want it. Then insert a spacer into the card holder to hold it expanded. Then stitch the leather. When it contracts, the stitches will be compacted, as you fill it, they will be stretched?

  9. I bought a thing called a leather splitter. It is small, two pieces of wood, hinged, and has a blade in one side, a metal pad on the other. When hinged closed it has the blade into a slot on the metal pad. It is only 4 - 6 inches long closed.
  10. Pictures of different tools and what they are called, then another showing them doing their work?
