  • Interests
Leather, leather and more leather. I typically spend 11 or so hours a day at it. Working to get more law enforcement and fire department projects. I really enjoy doing quick draw belts and holsters, all kinds of wet-forming and learning the art of color blending. Laser sight handgun holsters are a specialty and so far the word is spreading as most mfgrs to not try to offer such items. I do and spend the extra time to ensure quality and affordability.

About Me

Kind of a routine life! I spent 28 years as a radio dj, news director, general manager and a bunch of other colorful titles. I owned a nice money making motorsports announcing company and had chances to see some great races - and get paid to do it! Nice.

I retired from that game in 2003 and went to college to earn a business degree. Just when I graduated Obama was elected and every went into the toilet. With a monster size school bill, I've just been doing whatever I can to keep my head above the toilet water. I got into leather some years ago, but seriously engaged it about a year ago.

I'm married to a beautiful woman 28 years now. We own some dirt with a home on it in Eugene Oregon, where my leather business is. I work part-time jobs to help bring in money, but my wife is pretty sharp and is operations manager for a company called Rapid Refill in Oregon.

We've raised boxers for years and are dogless now. I used to brew my own beer, but began liking it too much, so I gave that up. Survival is a big thing for me and when Y2K was looming, I did weird things like learn how to fly a plane in case the pilot keeled over. That was intense. It was an aircraft crash survival course and I'll never forget that one.

I'm happy to live each day and sleep well at night. I try to keep the night sweats to a minimum and the occasional scream keeps me interesting. Thanks for reading this, john.
