How did you find leatherworker.net?
internet by accident

ok, thanks. I know it needs cleaning, and that is what I will do first.

I have a miniature horse draft harness - actually 2 of them - lots of parts. they have been hanging in a neighbor's barn for several years. I have the option to purchase them if I want. They are very dried out, and I know that some parts will need to have replacement pieces. I have already hosed them off. But wondering what I should do first? I know I will need to put oil back into them and possibly even dye them, and many hardware pieces will need replacing. How would you go about restoring these? I also will need to make some new pieces to accommodate my carts.

My experience with sporting threads? archery string is powder coated, and the color flakes off. I will look at the fly thread and see, thanks.

I have 207, but I need the 138. 207 is really too heavy. thanks
-
does anyone have excess Hot Pink thread in size 138? the minimum purchase to start is 20 pounds, and I don't need that much, let alone probably never use it up.

ok, sorry, I haven't been on here. so I guess we really need a 2D stamp - the california bear stamp with detail, hair detail, distinguishable legs - like the Tandy bear stamp, but I need other stuff added to it. I will try to get a photo tomorrow
-
I don't know where to post this, so I started a new thread. We had someone make us a steel stamp - twice - needing it to be 3D - or even flat with detail in it - but the stamp maker couldn't do to our specs and has declined to do anything more to help us. If you know of a stamp maker that can do a animal stamp with detail - please contact me. Thanks. Linda

thank you.

I work in a leather shop, but we don't make wallets for income, I am just trying to make a wallet for my husband for our 30th anniversary. Where can I find the lining part for a tri fold wallet? I bought the "kit" from Tandy - but am not using it, none of the pieces lined up. I cut my own from veg tanned leather, and am in the process of carving it. I don't like the lining for the kit either and can't seem to find the linings.

thank you so much for confirming my inability to locate these items. I work in a leather shop with resources all over and have had no luck at all. Closest I came (and I lost it) was some kind of electrical supply source. But I can use O rings instead, and know that my chain won't fall out...lol

Need Some Help Finding These Fixings
littlehorses replied to howie696's topic in Hardware and Accessories
I am looking for hardware for the Arab style cable show halters - for my miniature horses...so I don't want the full sized ones... I call them "J" hooks - but there are a few different varieties. I do not know how to put my pics in this post - otherwise, I would gladly do so. I have searched various places - probably not calling them by the proper name - especially since there are several varieties. help, please. -
do any of you have scraps of black patent leather? I would like some pieces 7" x 3" or even 4 x 4 pieces would work for me. I don't need but just 3 or 4 pieces this size
-
If I knew how to attach pics, I would attach what I am looking for. help?
-
I get pleasure out of making my own halters and harnesses for my miniature horses. Unfortunately, I have not been able to locate the "J" hooks or other pieces for the cable halters, or even smaller silver pieces for show halters. Can someone send me in the right direction for these? Please. Thanks. Linda
