  1. I almost did the same thing to a roper wallet from Tandy when i started, it took me a little while to figure out before but i did it before i started tooling. I even managed to screw that one up when I was stitching I managed to put it together upside down.
  2. Yes sir sorry for the confusion I did mean the Leather Machine Co. I thought that since they were the importers that they would be considered "Direct" and then any of the other places that sell them would be like a dealer for them.
  3. Hello everyone, Im looking into buying a sewing machine, more specifically a Cobra Class 4p set. I've decided on this one after talking to some local people who have one and love it and watching various videos on them. My main question is about actually buying the machine. Is there any advantage or disadvantage from buying a Cobra through a dealer like Springfield Leather instead of directly through Cobra? They are the same price online, the only thing I haven't looked into yet is the price of the shipping. Thanks in advance, Matt
  4. No where to buy anything really. Hobby lobby has some basic stuff, but its all real simple tandy kits. I go to tandy stores when I go to Dallas to visit family sometimes or order online. I don't go to Center much anymore since Wolfs closed down, I live in Chireno on the way to San Augustine.
  5. I just bought a DIY metal building from Mueller to store feed and other things in. Its a 12X15 with 8 foot walls and a roll up door, I added their floor kit and middle wall braces to strengthen it and make adding shelves easier and it was $1700. Mueller sells the buildings as kits that come with everything you need to put it together.
  6. I would like access whenever you get a chance please. Thanks, Matt
  7. Hey everyone seems to be a bunch of East TX ppl in here, Im in Nacogdoches.
  8. Hello everyone, My name is Matt, Ive lurked on this site since I began fooling with leather around 5 years ago. Im attending school at Stpehen F. Austin University in Nacogdoches, a little East TX town. I took a few years off from leatherwork when school and working had me too busy and am now getting back into it and knocking some dust off. I was handed down a bunch of leather tools from my girlfriends dad since he doesn't have the time or eyesight to do leatherwork anymore. I absolutely couldnt believe my luck. He had a bunch of old craft tool, Barry King stamps and some custom made stamps as well as much more. This really reignited my fire back to leatherwork and I have been trying to carve out more time in order to practice. Im currently looking into getting a sewing machine and am looking hard at the Cobra Class 4, this is one of the pieces of equipment I can't wait to get my hands on as I absolutely hate hand sewing.
