  1. Thanks guys , couple things I would change for the next pair but it was good fun finally doing a pair , I've been wanting to for a while now
  2. finished my first set of chaps yesterday, im decently happy with the turn out being the first pair but still needs a little work.
  3. Sorry yes I wipe the excess off but I do leave a decent amount in the tooling divots, which is what seems to come off , maybe I'm leaving too much in it I started using their stuff for the paints and really ended up liking the dye and finish

So quick question newer to doing antique on my work, I use angelus acrylic finish as my resist works great then I put my antique on and then after it's dried a few hours I put a top coat of the finish on top, but I've noticed on a couple belts and wallets that the antique is coming out of the groves . Is this common or am I not putting enough sealer ?
  5. new holster i did for a customer and a new belt i did for my fiance, belt is pig skin lined and has two copperhead rattle snake inlays on either side of the sheridan flowers in the back. first inlay belt ive attempted , comments and critques
  6. Thanks yea I was pleased with the color outcome , I used a wicket and Craig piece of russet 10/12 oz so it had a little more gold tiny to it to begin then I light oiled , then used angelus mahogany around border then Sheridan brown antique , combined very nicely

  10. Ok noted , yea on the letters i hammered a bit hard was looking for deep groves i guess i got a little aggressive, thanks for the other though i would never have thought of that
  11. this is my first sheridan style project , made it for my mother for mothers day . and critique or advice is welcome.
