  1. Thank you Pastor Bob! I'll try to visit more often going forward.
  2. Thank you for the clarification. "Cylinder Arm" type......

  4. Hey folks :-) I've been lurking here for years but never really introduced myself properly. Saw this thread list and thought it was "About Time" . So I live outside of Atlanta and I've been doing Waxed Canvas and Leather bags for about 8 years now. I sell most of my work on ETSY, half of it is custom requests. It all started when I landed a Singer 111 for 250 bucks from an upholstery shop that was going out of business. I needed to make seat covers for an old car I have. It worked out pretty good. One thing lead to another and I found more use for the machine. I'm generating just over 5 figures doing work when time permits. Could become a business in retirement but I'm not ready for that yet! Anyway, glad to know y'all. I'll post a few items for your viewing pleasure and a link to my page on ETSY. I'd be interested in any recommendations from all the wise folk here about where I might grow going forward. Which machine I might invest in going forward would be interesting. A better table machine or a saddle stitch......I'm just not sure which direction to go. https://www.etsy.com/shop/GothamBBC?ref=seller-platform-mcnav
  5. Good morning folks, hope everyone here is doing well. I'm not a frequent poster here but I do stop in to learn from time to time. I do mostly waxed canvas work with leather straps. I've been selling most of my work on ETSY for about 8 years. Bags between 12 and 14 inches of different types, many custom requests. Someone reached out to me about making an EDC Pouch, about 6 by 5 inches, custom features. I'm not confident my old Singer 111 is right for the job. I'm thinking a saddle stitch machine might be better suited for something like that. What's your thoughts? Lastly, if there is someone who does that sort of work and is interested, please let me know and I'll help the gentleman who reached out to me to get in touch with someone who does that sort of work. Thanks for your time :-)
  6. OK, thanks for the feedback folks. This machine is located west of Atlanta, GA. Very clean, not used much.
  7. Hope everyone here is happy and healthy these days! I've been working my old 211 pretty hard lately. One of the folks who does embroidery for me has a 47W66 she no longer uses. Looks like it is good condition and she would like to sell it. Not for me, I need something stronger. I just can't seem to find comparable models. I also don't see any which are currently for sale. I thought some of you folks might be able to help me get her a good starting point for pricing. Anyway, stay happy, stay healthy! Thanks in advance! Charles
