  • How did you find leatherworker.net?
    searching
  1. Very nice work. I'm still a rookie at leatherwork. I just put a 2 up seat on a Iron so I want to redo the solo seat...or at least try to redo it. What weight leather did you use?? Did you recover the whole seat, it looks like you did in the pic. Anyway, thanks for the help....I'll NEVER be as good as you guys!!!!
  2. HI Tex;; let us know when you get home;;

  3. Hey, before you close up shop...can you work on my saddle? Where you at exactly? You can PM me if you want. I wish I was smart enough to take you up on this offer...I'm a rookie leather worker!!!
  4. My tackle box isn't nearly that big. Its a little cheap one I got from Wal Mart years ago...less than $10. I'll take a picture of it later on today
  5. Just thought I would add my thoughts. Since I started playing around with stamps and such I started getting alot of stuff to keep track of. I was out in my shop the other day and found an old fishing tackle box that I forgot I had. Come to find out...it works perfect for keeping track of all my stuff. The big area in the bottom holds those little die bottles pretty good, I cut circles in some foam and it fits in there perfect. Just an idea.
  6. I like the design. Thats what made me to start playing with leather, I've grown tired of buying stuff that I should be able to make. I'm still new at it though, so I'm still in the coaster/wallet making stage!
  7. Thats very nice! I may have to copy that idea also. With all the cool projects on this site...I'll be busy till I'm dead!!!
  8. Very nice looking. It should work well. The EGA is a nice touch...the old man is a Former Marine, I'll show him this and he'll love it.
  9. Looks nice! What is it lined with? How the retention? If its not too much trouble, how about putting it on and taking a picture. That way we can see what it looks like worn.
  10. Great tutorials!!! I'm just starting this whole leather work thing and this is helping ALOT! I'm going to be up all night reading! Thanks!

    New guy

    Just wanted to say hi from the new guy! I've played around making leather before, but I was never good at it. I've grown tired of buying holsters and such. So, I decided to try my hand at leather work. I've been at it for a couple of weeks when I have the time and I really enjoy it. So, be warned...I'm going to ask alot of stupid questions. Of course, I'll try and search for the answer first. Thanks
