Thanks everyone, deff will keep playing with different ideas and such and posting, I work a lot out of town so when I'm in I try to get at it. Had a bag with my tools that I took with me out of town but it kept getting heavier and heavier as I added to it, to the point I got tired packing it up stairs haha. Need to reduce down and keep taking it with me.

I figured it it out I just email it to myself on my phone. When I push send to mail it, it asks me to downsize the image. After I've sent it and downsized it I save it back to my photos and seems to work. Thanks everyone

Forgot to say it was for a ruger red hawk 44 mag

It's not perfect it was built for my dad who is a rancher and will wear it every day, hence why it's photos are taken on a towel at dark because he was to anxious to strap it on. It's my first large leather project besides two case knife sheaths. I learned a lot by looking on this forum and by the bianchi video set. Feedback is much appreciated thank you.

I wonder if that would work if I could find some kind of app to download them then try using them? I'll have to look into that. I wish on this website you could just select from your photos and upload, most my pics are always off my phone.

Not sure I'm a younger fella but not tech savvy at all and most of my pictures are on my phone. I could always upload them to a computer and try to down size but was just wondering if you could off your phone.

Does anyone post pictures off their iPhones? If so how do you adjust the size of the pictures? Even when I try and upload one it keeps telling me the max is like like 1.46mb, how do you get around that?

Thanks guys! Troy I do you know if the soft-veg tan, milled calf hide from Springfield is any different than normal veg-tan calf hide?

I was wondering which suppliers some of y'all were ordering calf hide from. I'm wanting it for cartridge loops, this is my first time making them but I'm thinking of using 4-5oz? Does that sound accurate? Also do you have to order the whole side or can you purchase it in different cuts? Thanks for any help -Trevor

Thank you for all the information Dwight and the curve or no curve was what I was contemplating but now I know. I saw that the bianchi video was mentioned in another topic and that is definitely going to be bought. I'm new to leather working but it has gotten my full interest and money haha. First off I would like to say hello to everyone, I have gotten awesome information on this forum from reading everyone's topics. I'm wanting to make a western rig gun belt for a ruger super RedHawk 44 mag. The gun is heavy and I have the holster figured out pretty well. The questions I have for the gun belt is what oz's leather for the actual belt. And can the belt be cut straight or does it need to curved to sit properly on the hip? Also what thickness would you recommend for where the buckle attaches and the the billet? If anyone has links to a page where this has already been discussed i would be happy to look there also. Hello yall my name is Trevor and I'm new to the forum and leather working. I have read a bunch from this forum and have gained some great knowlege from everyone here this is an excellent site. I have a pair of my dads old working chaps from maybe 30 years ago and was wondering what would be the best way to clean them back up. They were somewhat stiff from hanging in the barn for many years but what would yall put back into them to condition them and to help protect them moisture again? I have researched this site quite a bit but seams everyone has so many different ways when it comes to dyeing, oiling, finishing, etc... I was thinking using pure neatsfootoil but after it soaks up for a couple days what would be best to put back over them to protect from moisture? Thanks for any help- Trevor
