  1. I use an entirely different method to accomplish the same thing, except in reverse without using any resist. I use Fiebings antique dye ( not antique finish which I hate because it is so hard to handle on large pieces) availabe from S & T in St.Louis. I apply the dye with a sponge covered with synthetic shamie in a light circular motion as many coats as needed to get the color I want. I spray finish with Fiebings Leather Sheen which I have found to be much better than Resolene in that it dries waxy smooth without being high gloss or tacky, water resistant too!
  2. I would like to see some samples of your work if possible. Thanks.
  3. No......do you think it looks like Mexican work? I have seen some pretty sporty stuff from there.
  4. Here are a couple more pics of the Sheridan style tooled cases.
  5. Thanks a lot everyone for the kind words. The cases are built around a solid PVC tube with sewn in liners to separate the butts from the shaft. I make 3 models (1 butt 2 shafts), (2 butt 4 shafts), and (3 butt 6 shafts). The amount of time to make a case is dependent on the options but I can make a standard case without inscriptions in about a day (12 hours). Below are a couple pics of the interior. I look forward to reading the threads and will help out whenever I can.
  6. I though this might be a good place to start....I specialize in custom pool cue cases and though I should show a couple examples of what I make. Comments welcomed.
