  1. I can say a bit about the COBRA Class 3. I got mine about three months ago and have been using it on a regular basis ever sense. The BOSS is a good machine for the money and is great for the beginner as far as sewing machines go. But it you want to click it up a notch or two the Cobra is by far the best way to go in my book (notice I said in my book lol). A mechanical machine does so much to increase the quality of your work and is well worth the money to purchase one. My only regreat is that I wish I had waited to get the new electric positioning system now available on all COBRA machines. It is a great time saving device. I have talked with Steve (CobraSteve) and he says I can get my fitted with the system. I cant believe it will make it even better than it already is. Bottom line is, if you can afford a mechanical machine it sure beats the the old tugging and pulling on that handle of a BOSS. Don't get me wrong I started with a BOSS and it was fine, but sometimes you had to be the incredable hulk to sew all the projects you had. Good luck with you choice on a machine but I can highly recommend a COBRA if you want to choose a mechanical machine. Swordsman

  3. Freddo My name is Larry Ray, otherwise known as Bassi here at the boards. I am the webmaster for Zack White Leather. First I would like to thank you for the heads up about the possible script problem with the site. Sometimes it is almost impossible to know if we are having glitches until the problem shows itself. Now that you have let us know we are taking steps to eliminate this problem. so you and others will not have to suffer with this type of frustration. I have seen the hides you are talking about and they are exceptionally clean hides. They have been squared to eliminate waste. The hides are indeed PREMIUM. They are U.S. hides that are tanned in Mexico. The front and back of these hides are of exceptional quality. Even though I do not know anything about the other supplier you are referring to I know that Zack White's Premium Shoulders will not leave you lacking in quality. Give the store a call if you are still having difficulty in logging in. They will be more than happy to assist you with your order. Again I would like to thank you for your comments and heads up about the login script.

  6. 8thsinner makes a good point here. It is good to see a good solid discussion with both sides voicing there views and not resorting to Flame wars. I only wish that it would have been more positive for both sides. And it is also good to see Zack White here at the boards. It says volumes for them as far as credibility goes to be here to ansewer questions from all the leathercrafters out there. Only next post I hope it to be in a more positive manner
  7. Hi Sharpshooter I am sorry to hear that you had such a difficult time with your order. Mistakes and misunderstanding do happen as we all know, in our dailey lives and in business transactions. I do not know what was said on the phone besides that is a priviate matter between you and ZW. But here is what I do know. I have delt with Zack White for over five years now and this situation is not the norm. I know Tim and Rhonda personnaly both as a business associate and as a friend and I can honestly say that what has happend is not the way they do or want to do business. What dealings I know of when they do have complaints or problems with orders, and we all know that does happen, they have always to the best of my knowledge given the customer satisfaction in some way or another. They often go out of there way to see customers get what they ordered in a resonable amount of time. I am positive that this event is not what they want to hear or see. I am also sure that if you were to discuss this matter again with them they will as I say go out of there way to see you get what you ordered or whatever you feel is neccessary to remedy the situation. Yes I am a friend and a business associate but I also know the people personnaly and know that this is not how they do business.
