    Hi, JP1 Although I haven't tried them yet, it nevertheless might be well worth to check with HideCrafter's website. Look on that left side on *Shop by Category* under 'Educational' the Sub-Title "DVD's" and there further under "Technique". Scrolling there, you should find a number of DVD's which author was George Hurst and there are also two further ones of Shirley Peterson as an author. I haven't tried them myself yet, but according to Leather Crafters & Saddlers' Journal issues they are of high educational value. I hope that others my chime in that have more and real practical experience with these mentioned DVD's but hope I could be of some "First Aid". Enjoy a blessed and merry Christmas.     Well Doc, for me the ash cloud was rather positi-ve: no aeroplanes in the morning nor in the even-ing alighting for the Zurich airport. Some people had to wait for new, fresh asparagus to go with ham in the restaurants. But hey, they are still well alive. Lol! Have a great day,

    Thank you Doc, for your good wishes to my birth-day. It was a nice day, indeed. I made myself happy by "acquiring" a nice bottle of a Scottish Single Malt "Syrup" (to be read *Whisky*). Lol. In the evening I was invited by my elder son to a nice dinner in a fine restaurant in town & he made me also a wooden board with handle out of walnut to set in my Belgian blue whetstone....

    Good you woke me up. This Easter was indeed peace-

    ful and relaxing especially afternoon. Went to church in the morning and had a decent meal together with my wife in a good restaurant nearby.

    By the way, my belated, but very best wishes to your birthday (1 month & a day back - I am sorry for that delay). Hope, many more good years will be yours.

    Hi Doc,

    That was a great trip. Drove a super bargain by buying new clothes for me in a gentlemen's shop at Piccadilly street in London that has to close because of that house row to be torn down and rebuilt. Financing the journey by train to London (incl. Eurostar operating under the English Channnel = branch of the North Sea) with the savings. Have a blessed Sunday.

    Hey All, This is my first contribution to this forum. ( my introduction itself will follow) I have noticed your interest in a hair blade, may be even a swivel knife with hair blades that one that also Robb Barr used for his projects. Now, there is a shop here in Switzerland that sells such a swivel knife, resembling somehow that Swivel Master knife, and it comes with 12 cutting hair blades and 12 distance blades to create the hair effect whatever wanted. Costs CHF 250.00 inclusive those cutting and distance blades. According to the shop's website only German and French are the languages possible??! Accepted currencies are CHF and EUR according to the website's indication. The owner's name is Herr Louis Landwehr. Hereafter I add those interesting items from that shop.     Thank you for the happy New Year wishes. We are indeed well doing and have been in the Bernese Oberland's mountain region for sledging (in fog with minimum sight). Next week my wife and I will be in London/England for about ten days. Now, after

    Thank you for the good wishes. However, we don't have this festive day over here in Europe and in particular in Switzerland. My wife told me that this day goes back to the time when the first European emigrants landed safely with the ship "Mayflower" on the shores of the continent what is known today as North America.
