I use coffee or black tea for my brown shades. Not only is it Eco friendly, it makes the leather smell great!

So far it has been fine. After assembly I oil with Virgin Olive Oil, and let sit, then I applied the Leather Sheen. After this I polished with a mixture of Beeswax and olive oil, this is a mixture I made that is somewhat like shoe polish, works great. Scott Forgot to mention, I clean between each step with a wipe down of Acetone.

Bending is the biggest problem. The shank of the female tends to bend over prior to swelling. Scott Wild Rose, Thanks for the idea, I used a tapered center punch, and it helped some. There has to be a better way....I think I will go play around in the machine shop tomorrow and see what I can come up with. Scott

There are various schools of thought on what weight leather to use in the fabrication of holsters. My question to those of you inclined to answer, is what weight do you utilize for your different styles? IWB weight/OWB weight. I use 6/7oz for my OWB. I have yet to attrempt an IWB holster. Does anyone have a good trick to setting these miserable line 20/24 snaps? Now I know why people but them in bulk. Thanks Scott
