New to leatherwork. First try at a holster. Made for a friends Ruger BearCat. Had a lot of fun and learned a huge amount. Thanks for all the great tips. I know I've got a LONG way to go...but it's a start. Obviously it still needs to be formed to the gun...... Thanks for looking! Mick

LOL..... not really a scorpion.....but sort of resembles one as they speed around. You know when you see one because you're running the other way...and you are scarred for life. Definitely one of those "OMG WHAT THE #@#$% IS THAT?" experiences. Sorry I'm no help actually covering the topic.....

Just starting out, picking up tools and learning techniques. I'm in need of some good period gun leather to wear around Tombstone (where you can dress like a cowboy and not stand out in the crowd). Working with the owner of a cigar/gun shop there to make some goodies for some of the not so common period firearms. It might just get me some good cigars out of the deal. Thanks to everyone for taking the time to share their experiences, both good and bad. It's been a wonderful aid.
