  1. I oiled up everything and ran it at high speed a few times. It's great! New question- I finally received the gasket yesterday. The head doesn't quite sit right now with the gasket in there and I'm afraid it's just tilted too much. Do you know if I should make modifications to the gasket or not? Or just go back to not using it at all? Hmmmmm.
  2. Thank you once again. I'll be sure to get everything oiled up before I run it.
  3. Sweet, thanks! I pretty much figured it out, so I have a quart of Lily White coming today. The machine is all set to fill and try to run. It was converted to 110 many years ago so I just capped and wrapped all the connections. Everything works, even the light. The only thing it doesn't have is needles and the oil gasket, but last time my dad ran it, about 20 years ago, he ran it without a gasket and it never leaked or spattered. And it still sits flush/closed. I do have needles and a gasket ordered that will arrive this week. New question: Do you recommend waiting until the gasket arrives, or do you think it will be ok to try to run a few minutes today without it? I don't want to ruin anything at the 11th hour. I'm super excited to add this to the mix along with my Brother machine, which looks like a toy comparatively, and my big ol' Juki.
