Did you ever find out what needle on your Chandler darner uses? I have an old Chandler that's class 0 serial number 130. I've got it sewing slash darning but only have one needle. According to the book it's a flat sided needle with the long groove left of the operator.

I own one these Vintage Chandler Darning / mending machines. ( On delivery it was missing the bobbin case, bobbins, needles and manual -) Hope some one can help me out here. Can't use the machine until I can get the missing parts!

I have an opportunity of purchase an old Singer 31-15 which the seller said it was a walking foot machine. ( It is a 160 mile trip when I take a look at this machine) Did Singer make this machine with a walking foot?? I can't find any information to verify this. AND what kind of grease is used for the gear case? Any help is appreciated.
