Adler 167-273HU worth restoring or parts only
SingerDad replied to SingerDad's topic in Leather Sewing Machines
Thanks for that pressor foot! I was looking and could not find it. There is supposed to be a piece on top of the pressor bar that rides in the top spring assembly.(I think) Any wisdom on where to find that? -
Adler 167-273HU worth restoring or parts only
SingerDad replied to SingerDad's topic in Leather Sewing Machines
Trying to get a parts list together. Can anyone point me in the correct direction of missing pieces? What pressor foot is needed? -
Hello all. I did pick up a double needle walking foot Adler. Was excited at first however noticed some missing parts. I still thought it might be fun. Now having second thoughts if it is the right machine for me to restore. Can you take a look at what’s there? I do notice at least one tension disk is missing. I also noticed it’s missing the number plate for stitch length. It turns very good and both hooks seem to be turning properly. Just don’t know if I want to spend all the time to get her proper. What should I do?

Thanks cowboy. Any leads for a manual?

Wiz. Thanks. However, the 102 was an odd variant. I cannot for the life of me find a manual specific to the model. I just do not want to go thru the process of ordering needles that are slightly off. Was counting on someone having the same model. I will try the 135 unless someone can confirm otherwise. Thanks for your reply.

Please help with the correct needle size for 111w102. It is needle and drop fed only. Do not have a manual and lost the one needle I knew was working. Thanks all.

did you set the parameters to: start up speed 100 rpm, and then whatever your max speed that you are comfortable with? you can also set the power at each speed as well. Along the supplied small pulley you should be able to get the stitch speed pretty low.

Have just purchased a Chandler 305-64. It was made in Japan and seems to be of high quality.. Trying to clean it up as it was sitting in a barn for years. It had some minor rust just behind shuttle area that was from years of rash. . The picture is a before pic. My question what paint can I use so that it doesn’t look horrible? The color is hard to match as it’s not tan and not grey. Or would you guys just leave it?

Help with part identification/function
SingerDad replied to SingerDad's topic in Leather Sewing Machines
Thank you! I assumed so, however it just seems like.a poor design (with half the plate just hanging over the bolt points). -
Can someone tell me the function of the part I circled in the photo? I would have used the search function however I do not know what it is called. Some machines have it, while others have it removed. Thank you

Worked! Thanks to Constabulary and Cowboy!

Do I have to loosen the regulating screws first? And thanks

Need help removing the feed regulating spindle head on the balance wheel. I was able to adjust the stitch length as the manual described however for the life of me I can’t remove the adjuster wheel. When I turn the stitch length wheel it feels gritty. I know that the threads are a weak spot on this machine. I just want to check them out and clean them up. I tried searching however I am not finding the answer. Thanks for your help.
