Have been sewing all my life and really enjoy creating and repairing things.

I have become the go-to repair person for my husband's Scout Troop when tents, backpacks, and things need a fix but my home machine (a Singer), while heavy duty for a home machine does OK, it's just not quite there for some of the really thick stuff. Blue jean fixes are really tough on a home machine as well.

I would like to make heavier dog toys as I have a several puppies in my life that have razor teeth(!) and leather or firehose material would slow them down a little bit. I've also already had to repair harnesses due to chewing (that's been tricky too) so it might be fun to make some new ones as experiments.
