Hello all I’m getting rid of of some leathers that I don’t use during this confinement period and because of Corona it’s been quite hard making sales as I’m sure it’s impacted everyone in the leather-working community. So for sale I have 3 Nubuck skins from Tannerie masure in Grey, dark blue and Bordeaux they are around 12-13sqft each and a thickness of about 2-3mm I’m selling each hide of Nubuck for 45$ I have one remaining Brown calf skin lining used for the insides of shoes from tannerie Masure in Belgium. As you can see in the picture it has one hole in the middle and is around 13sqft. The flesh side is ultra soft and has a lovely suede feel and is being sold for 30$ then I have a selection of remaining vintage snake skins from an Italian tannerie dating around 1983-5 they are in grey, beige and a polished silver look. The grey and beige skins are 5€ each and the silver are 12€. i ship internationally from Belgium and if there are multiple purchase I can definitely work out a discount! any and all questions are welcome!

Hi All, We received a large shipment of miscellaneous Italian veg tanned leather. In this shipment we got a large quantity of natural colour veg tanned nubuck shoulder in 2.4/2.8mm 6/7oz thickness. These are nicely trimmed shoulders and are very clean but as they are shoulders there is some shoulder wrinkles but they are quite light. Typical size is 12-16sqft (all are marked and measured in Sqm) dimensions approx 50” wide x 40-45” deep Pricing is USD4.00 per sqft plus shipping (we will advise shipping for specific destination) but for USA likely to be around USD50 for 1 shoulder. If interested send us a message.

Hi, I am new to this site so please let me know if there is a different topic better fitted for this thread. I am looking to buy bulk of nubuck leather. I make leather bracelets and burn on them with my woodburner and then I sell them on my etsy shop. After experimenting with burning on many different types of leather, I have found that I prefer nubuck (or at least that is what the leather guy in my town says it is). But my problem is that I am having trouble finding any in large quantities. So if you have any knowledge or advice please share!

Hi I am looking for a supplier that is able to produce a custom coloured nubuck suitable for use as the inner lining in a watch strap. We changed our requirement from suede to nubuck based on feedback. The quantities would be small to begin with but I'd expect them to grow as our company evolves. Am happy to pay a bit extra for a small run initially. Thank you Jonathan

I have some amazing 4oz waxed and plated Nubuck that I'm planning on making into a variety of items large and small. As a start I made a sunglasses case last night. I'm wondering how to finish the edges on this. I started sanding the edges and they did not clean up well. Should I treat it like normal veg tan leather? I typically sand, glycerine soap, buff, dye, neatsfoot/beeswax, burnish to get a good edge. Will that work?

Does anyone know what kind of leather Saddleback Leather Uses? I know they have their own tannery in Mexico, but specifically what type. Is it Latigo? Is it Nubuck? Is some sort or Retan? Im looking for a good, strong sturdy type of leather that will stand up to most anything but will also absorb the character that goes a long with a long, leathery life. Thank Everyone! -Brad

Anybody know of a product that will permanently seal or finish (weather/stain-proof) 'milled' veg tanned cowhide leather and still keep it's soft feel? I think it's tumbled and so the top grain might be slightly open, almost like suede or nubuck, but it doesn't really have a nap to it...feels kinda like thick deer or elkskin. Products I've tried; Leather balm w/atom wax, tan coat, saddle lac and resolene, and they all left a waxy or clear-coat type finish. I have not tried Eco-Flo's Block Out Resist Finish yet and that claims to dry to a matte finish. .Anybody had any luck with it? I'm thinking at best I'll hafta resort to a Scotch-guard type product like 4 Seasons or Protect-all...do they still make that?... anyways, those are more of a 'treatment' and not a permanent finish. I'm open to all ideas and suggestions, thanks for taking the time to read this, ~confounded cobbler in Traverse City
