stelmackr Report post Posted February 9, 2008 Nothing will remove it. Just use a large (over one inch) punch and punch a hole in the the existing carpet, remove the damaged section. Then go in the closet (or some place where you don't see the carpet normally) and punch another section and place and glue the section in. Match the nape of the carpet as you do it. Jordan Report post Posted February 9, 2008 carpet plugs are pretty nifty but I was told that was why someone invented chairs and desks, floor lamps, and the list goes on...and on.....I feel you angst, our carpets have seen better days with 2 kids 4 dogs and lots of beverage challenged adults. howardb Report post Posted February 18, 2008 Eric, There's always plan B... Move out the furniture and speckle the dye all over the room. You will have a unique designer carpet and no one will know it wasn't supposed to look that way. Gut an animal in the room. Trust me. No one is going to notice the dye spots when they are eyeballing a giant blood stain. Spill some wine in the same area. Wine stains are always more acceptable than dye spots since the wine stain likely happened while you were tipsy. Put in small areas of ceramic tile or hardwood flooring where the spots are.
