Members ethereal Posted June 16, 2022 Members Report Posted June 16, 2022 Im wondering what kind of ribbing I should use for a structured cowhide jacket? Quote
Members RockingRA Posted April 24, 2023 Members Report Posted April 24, 2023 I have used plastic ribbing from Joann Fabrics in making steampunk leather corsets - it was flexible enough to be comfortable, but had enough rigidity to be functional as a supporting corset. https://www.joann.com/dritz-1%2F4in-featherlite-boning-black/1156900.html Quote
Members Klara Posted April 24, 2023 Members Report Posted April 24, 2023 Do you absolutely want ribbing? Because the front edge of the sleeves is a weak point (just yesterday I discovered that on my all-weather jacket it's a collection of holes - after only 18 years) and ribbing is not easy to replace or repair... I would try to find another way. Quote
Members MahaKhan Posted December 1, 2023 Members Report Posted December 1, 2023 Well, consider using ribbing in a contrasting color or material for a bold and fashion-forward statement. Quote
