Members Mike Posted October 28, 2007 Members Report Posted October 28, 2007 I do not know if this group shares patterns or not. Here is my latest pattern that I did for a checkbook. It's about 6 7/8" x 7 1/2". I've included a picture of what it could look like when done. How you interpret it is up to you. Feel free to comment. Mike Of course you're allowed to post patterns! Thanks for sharing, Mike! ~Johanna Quote
Members TexasJack Posted October 29, 2007 Members Report Posted October 29, 2007 Just had to stop and say that I really like the look of that checkbook cover! It may not be a complex pattern, but it looks great! Quote
Members Mike Posted October 29, 2007 Author Members Report Posted October 29, 2007 Most figure carving patterns are not complex. The fun starts when the carving stops. That's when the colors come out to play. Quote

Members Tae Posted November 27, 2007 Members Report Posted November 27, 2007 I just started carving leather a few months ago and made a few things so far. This design would be perfect for my dad. I better get to it before x-mas. Thanks so much! Tae Quote
Members Mike Posted November 28, 2007 Author Members Report Posted November 28, 2007 You're quite welcome. Keep in mind that with something like this, the foreground is the focus. That means you can pretty much do what you want with the background. More/less clouds, different bug, trees/no trees. It's up to you. Show us what you did with it when it you're done. Quote
