Billsotx Report post Posted November 1, 2007 Is there a web based storage site where I can put an Excel File and give two other people access to it so the three of us can edit and update it once in awhile? Thanks in advance for your help. ~Bill
leatheroo Report post Posted November 1, 2007 Try looking at Google Docs. From google homepage click 'more' and then under Communicate, show and share, you will find Google Docs. You can control who has access and who can make changes. Better still its free!
Zilla Report post Posted November 1, 2007 I use google also for several different types of file type storage. I do use gMail...don't know if that's just part of the service or not. Kev
Jordan Report post Posted November 1, 2007 (edited) I remember some feature like that I think it was in msword, file sharing of somesort, with the main file on a server and all who were allowed could put it on thier workstation edit and add stuff then put it back on the server. I dunno I gave up on alot of this tech stuff when Win 3.1 came out. I am playing with Ubuntu linux right now. Edited November 1, 2007 by Jordan
Johanna Report post Posted November 2, 2007 Google Docs is the easiest way to do what you describe, Bill. If you really trust these guys, you could use your ftp account, too. Mozy.com also permits free online file storage. Johanna
