This is my set up using 207 thread from Leather Machine Co.  Have you tried contacting LMC and explain what’s going on?  When I first got mine they were very helpful when I through the machine out of time.

Here’s a quick stitch guide I made with 207 thread through 6-8 oz leather, the numbers are relative to the numbers on the stitch length knob
