Lasse Report post Posted August 3, 2022 Help finding 135x16 200 Hi y’all! I am trying to find 135x16 needles in size nm 25/200 and 24/180, with the LR point. It feels like I have been through the whole internet only to find 180 as a “special order” at Schmetz, and only for us citizens, the 200 seems impossible to find - maybe there aren’t any? Do you have any ideas or do you know where I can find some? I am in Sweden so buying the needles from the same store/place would be best cause Of shipping but I am getting frustrated and anything will do as this point. Many thanks in advance! Constabulary Report post Posted August 3, 2022 What machine are you using that you need such a big needle size in 135x16? Are you sure the machine can handle the thread thickness you need for a 180 or 200 needle? Anyway - as an alternative needle try to locate 134-35 needles with leather tip - same shaft size but just s a bit shorter than 135x16. Only thing you have to do is lowering the needle bar. I searched for a while and this is the best source I can come up with at this time. https://sew-europe.com/schmetz.htm The list Schmetz and Gross Beckert on the home page. I hope this helps. Do you want an inline S point, or some slanted chisel point? Schmetz makes the S point in system 134-35. I have a pack I use once in a while on my Singer walking foot machines. My machines are timed so that I can use these slightly shorter needles and not skip stitches, but only on one direction machines. If your machine has reverse you might want to lower the needle bar 1/2 mm or so to put the eye at the same position as the system 135x16 needles. Machines with reverse are more finicky when it comes to timing in both directions.

shoepatcher Report post Posted August 4, 2022 Call Diamond Needle in NJ. They carry Organ needles which I have used for years. Good needles despite what some people say. Only G-B and Organ make Titanium coated needs which are fabulous. i use both and have found no difference between them. I do not use Schmetz any more because of that. glenn

Constabulary Report post Posted August 5, 2022 (edited) when your Pfaff is using 134-35 - why not setting up both machines for that needle system? You only have to stock 1 needle system (it´s cheaper on the long view) and don´t have to worry to mix up needles (it happens). BTW College Sewing has 134-35 LR in 180 and 200 https://www.college-sewing.co.uk/needles/groz-beckert-industrial-needles/134-35-groz-beckert-needles/134-35lr-groz-beckert-needles https://www.college-sewing.co.uk/needles/schmetz-industrial-needles/32-10-134-35-schmetz-needles/schmetz-134-35lr-leather-point ARMASTORE in Latvia has 134-35 LR in 180 at a super price for 100 needles: https://armastore.eu/134-35-rtw-lr-singer-needles-pack-of-100 Other than that STRIMA in Poland has 135x16 with DIA tip in 180 and 200: https://de.strima.com/items?query=135x16 Edited August 5, 2022 by Constabulary
