Members RogerChemel Posted September 1, 2022 Members Report Posted September 1, 2022 I inherited a Durkopp 17-1-1 that my father used extensively but he never taught me how to start the threading process at the foot. The machine is functional mechanically, I'm sure I have the bobbin wound properly. I have it threaded properly from the spool to the needle. I am not an expert obviously but I can't get the needle thread and the bobbin thread to "latch". What is the method to get the thread to "catch" or "loop" together? I would so love to get this machine to sew. Quote
Northmount Posted September 1, 2022 Report Posted September 1, 2022 @RogerChemel Moved your post to leather sewing machines. This is where the sewing machine guys hang out. Quote
Members Constabulary Posted September 1, 2022 Members Report Posted September 1, 2022 (edited) maybe this video helps - if not send me a PM and I can send you a manual in English language. Edited September 1, 2022 by Constabulary Quote
