I have a question. If I laminate a shoulder and a side together will the grain pattern make it stretch less?

Like when they alternate the grain when they make plywood.

I don't know about grain direction in leather.

But I had a concern about stretch of a strap and I layer a sewing reinforcement sf101 and it made a big difference.

yes it will.

I find that a belly stretches more from back-bone to centre of belly than along the belly from leg to leg. Laminating it with a less stretchy section reduces the stretchiness
