Members singteck Posted January 14, 2009 Members Report Posted January 14, 2009 Just completed this. Took 4 hrs because I don't have to make any belt loop. This one is hand or bag carry only. Don't want to strap such a heavy blade to my belt. The strap swings away so that it does not get cut by the blade. Comments are welcomed. singteck Quote

MADMAX22 Posted January 15, 2009 Report Posted January 15, 2009 I like it as well, you allways have a really clean nice work. Quote
Members badger Posted January 15, 2009 Members Report Posted January 15, 2009 (edited) Very nice! I really like the clean lines of the design. Nice idea to have the strap under slight tension so it pulls away and out of danger. Tell me, did you add a welt along the cutting edge side of the sheath? Cheers, Karl Edited January 15, 2009 by badger Quote
Ambassador abn Posted January 15, 2009 Ambassador Report Posted January 15, 2009 Very nice -- as always! I especially like how the stitching follows the contour of the blade toward the bottom of the sheath, and then doubles back around the edge. Very classy. -Alex Quote
Members singteck Posted January 15, 2009 Author Members Report Posted January 15, 2009 Thank you guys for the kind words. I was able to make it a nice clean design because I didn't have to add a belt loop to it. Didn't want to carry this long and heavy knife on my belt. It's going to sit in the car most of the time and then it'll be out of the sheath in the plantation and stuck to a tree or the ground. Tell me, did you add a welt along the cutting edge side of the sheath? There is a welt on this sheath singteck Quote
