RunawayBay Report post Posted December 8, 2022 Just recieved my new Cobra Class 26. I’ve had nothing but issues so far which may be partially my fault. Now the bobbin case it seized up and hitting the hook. There may be thread stuck but I can’t rotate it and can’t get bobbin case out? Any ideas? CowboyBob Report post Posted December 8, 2022 Sounds like a classic thread jam.If your on Facebook they have a group called Tips & Trick for the Cobra machine & you can search the old files or post the question & they will walk you through timing & etc.
Wizcrafts Report post Posted December 9, 2022 You didn't hear this from me. When the hook is bound up you may be able to clear the thread by removing the throat plate which will let the hook rotate back and forth. You might be able to grab some thread stub and yank on it while wiggling the freed hook. Once the jammed thread is cleared out, oil the bobbin race, then reinstall the throat plate, minding the cutout for the tab on the shuttle case.
