Ambassador freak Posted November 12, 2007 Ambassador Report Posted November 12, 2007 OK i need something and i needed it now. My drill press and half of my metal/wood working tools are still in storage. So I stopped at a hobby store and grabbed some of that foam stuff you use to hold flower arrangements with. It was 6 blocks for under $4 and i grabbed a cone shaped one also , just cause i'm a freak yo! You can use the tool it self or anything really to make the holes. I thought i was going to use the drill bit but found it was not needed. And just for kicks i painted it. Still have 5 more blocks to go. LOL !! No tools needed and quick and EZ Quote It takes more then one freak to have a true freakshow. So take a seat , the show is about to start. Check out the freakSHOW
Ambassador Beaverslayer Posted November 12, 2007 Ambassador Report Posted November 12, 2007 freak, that's a great idea, and they look good with that paint on them...also, that's a fine looking piece you're working on in the background of those pics, I'm thinking of my time well waisted in the late 60's early 70's...you'll be sure to post pics when you done that one. Also, I noticed in the second (middle) pic, what is that big black thingy? a meteorite? a rock? or just something freaky? Moderator Johanna Posted November 12, 2007 Moderator Report Posted November 12, 2007 Excellent idea. Your new avatar reminds me strongly of my first husband, quite a resemblance. Johanna Quote You cannot depend on your eyes when your imagination is out of focus. - Mark Twain
Ambassador freak Posted November 12, 2007 Author Ambassador Report Posted November 12, 2007 Also, I noticed in the second (middle) pic, what is that big black thingy? a meteorite? a rock? or just something freaky? LOLKen LOL, it's pretty much the same thing. You know that foam that comes in a can called "stuff" ? They use use it for insulation. I just sprayed some of it out and then painted it so it looks like a big rock. Then once again just use the tool and poke a hole where you want it. My mind goes a hundred miles a minute. I think i really like using something for something diff then what it was made to be used for. When i grow up i want to be a rocket surgeon or maybe a brain scientist . Contributing Member Regis Posted November 12, 2007 Contributing Member Report Posted November 12, 2007 That's exactly how I've stored the bits for my Foredom (like dremel bits). You don't even have to make a hole, just push the bit in. Of course that makes me feel worse 'cuz I bought a holder for my stamps : Quote God, Family, and Country (although liberals are attempting to destroy these in the USA)
