Members Gawdzilla Posted August 20, 2011 Members Report Posted August 20, 2011 Looks good, Mark! Anybody ever tried substituting bungee cords for the elastic? Done correctly it would look rather different. Three thin bungees instead of one wide piece of material. Quote
Members drphil Posted August 23, 2011 Members Report Posted August 23, 2011 HI here is a finished pair. Mark Thank you! Those look great. A fashion accessory I have always wanted to make. I might give it a shot now. Thanks for the inspiration! Quote

Members Grumpymann Posted January 29, 2017 Members Report Posted January 29, 2017 Has anyone tried using the same elastic used in sewing? I have done a few projects with it, The way I attach it is Glue paper around the end of the elastic Split the leather in half (Grain side VS Flesh side) slip the elastic between them glue the three pieces together and stitch...... Don't want to hijack the thread. So I will leave it saying good work on the pair posted. And thanks for the pattern Quote

I think I'd leave the snaps off the two front "legs" and just loop my belt through the ends. My grandpappy told me to never trust a man who wears both a belt and suspenders, the man can't even trust his own pants (and no, I didn't get it from the movie, gpa was saying this back in the 60's) Quote
