Using Scraps: Camera Power pack Tripod Mount.

Recommended Posts

I'm finding uses for some leather scraps.  I've been needing a way to mount an external battery pack on my tripod for my SLR.  Quick and simple.  There's just a flap coming down from the center post.  I cut a whole where the post runs through the flap.  Then,I made a simple pouch for the power bank battery , and I attached a strap that also wraps around a tripod leg.  I used a snap so it can detach from the leg.  Works pretty slick.  I'll make a few more to give my go-pro cameras external power.  Those go-pro batteries always seem to die when I'm not looking.

That is a clever idea

mmm, has other possibilities; a tube shape to hold the extra lens or a drinks bottle, a case like that for a pen & notebook

Yea, it could be adapted for a lot of uses.  I've just been wanting to run my camera off a powerbank so it doesn't die so fast.  For taking photos, the regular battery lasts a very long time.  When you try to run video, it eats batteries quick.
