Thought folks should know this exists.  I'm a fan of Nigel's and have learned a great deal from his YouTube videos.

Great video, thanks Tugadude!  Good advice that he has his customers sign off on a very detailed invoice (color of thread, even!) before he begins work. I'm sure that prevents a lot of people from thinking they can get the finished product for cheap because it doesn't look exactly as they expected.

I liked his plug for leatherworker.net. When i was wanting to learn more, my instructor at Tandy recommended I join, and it's been very valuable. (God rest you, Bill. You were a wonderful teacher! :rip_1: )

Nigel’s content is always solid - he’s one of those rare people who makes the craft and the business side feel approachable. Starting a business isn’t just about the product anymore. If you're serious about growth, especially with outside capital, you’ll eventually have to wrap your head around startup investor reports—metrics, updates, accountability, the works.
What Nigel hints at (even if indirectly) is that transparency and structure build trust, whether it's with customers or potential investors. So even if you're just getting started, it's smart to learn how to track your progress and communicate it well.
