Hi Folks -

My parents have a vintage Singer 29k60 that they've used for decades, and I was just notified that they're having an issue where the needle keeps falling out despite tightening the screw in (and using the exact same needles they've used for years).

My gut tells me the screw that should hold the needle in may have gone bad. Any idea/thoughts would be appreciated. If that screw has gone bad, where's the best place to procure a new one?

Thank you

Sounds like they’re using the wrong screw. It’s short, or worn out. Best fix? Dig in the junk drawer and find a compatible one, that’s my fix,  order a new one. Digging is faster.

Buy them a new needle clamp and screw. Simple fix.
