Billy P Posted November 19, 2007 Report Posted November 19, 2007 Beautiful work, really outstanding. Now a question, does sewing the stingray cause any problems? I have to hand sew all of my work, and was wondering if it caused any unsually hard sewing, as I've heard that it is hard to work with because it is so tough. I have some that a friend in Singapore sent me early this year along with some water snake skin, but didn't know about the ray hide. Regards Billy P Quote
Members DCKNIVES Posted November 19, 2007 Author Members Report Posted November 19, 2007 Billy thank you. Stingray is very tough, but with a sharp awl it should be ok.I use a drill bit with a sharpened shank and punch it with my drill press. Works for me. Dave Quote

Members DCKNIVES Posted November 20, 2007 Author Members Report Posted November 20, 2007 Romey and Don thank you. Don, the names are the other maker's knives. The only knife shown that is mine is the top one .I also do sheaths for other knifemakers as well as collectors. The dagger was made by Joe Brum, and the second knife was made by Strider Knives. That is a nice collection you have by the way.
