Seems like something has cropped up in the last month or so. I am not sure if it is my computer setting, or something with the board. In the good old days, I would log in, and be logged in forever. I could come back in an hour or a couple days, and still be logged in. Now, if I leave the site, I may be logged in or maybe not. Sometimes a couple hours later I am still in. Other times I leave for 5 minutes, or the connection is interrupted momentarily, and I have to log back in. There doesn't seem to be a pattern. The frustrating thing is that while typing a post, sometimes my connection is interrupted. When I go to post it, it tells me I am not authorized, takes me to the log-in page, and eats my homework.

What browser are you running?

Sounds like a cookie thing.... cookies keep you logged in... if your settings are set to delete cookies when you close the browser that might be it....

I am running IE. I am not sure if it was something that got changed during one of the updates to Windows, a Norton update or what. Where do I look for the cookie settings? Be easy, I am not a computer guy.

You're not alone Bruce. I started getting that also. There's a bunch of goofy stuff going on. I'm also using IE and I so far I haven't had these problems on other forums. I wonder if someone is messing with Johanna's site.

Your first problem is that you are running IE.... you need to go to either Firefox.com or Opera.com and download and install the browser they provide free of charge and use it instead....

I hate IE...

Let Johanna check into this to verify it isnt the site before I start telling you all to delete parts of IE to make it run better.... LOL

Hello I think ya guys jinxed me. I didn't have the log in problem until I was reading about ya'lls trouble. And thinkin ta myself gee that must suck!! Next thing I know everytime I get off the net and back on I have to log back in. I guess thats what I get for thinkin better you than me!! oh well such is life. I also run IE. If ya'll figure it out let me know. Thanks Mike

I'm not ignoring you guys, I'm not at home right now. Check your browser and security system to allow cookies for this site. As far as I can tell, the problem isn't on this end, but I'll check into everything when I get home tomorrow. Thanks for letting me know!

Please log out, shut down your browser, then log in again. Let me know if the problem is still happening. I changed a setting in the ACP that should fix this. (disabled stronghold cookie)
