I was a little skeptical of putting my makers mark in the center of the scroll. My idea was that it would look kinda like the scroll holding a coin. What are y'alls thoughts? actually its one of the few that look good on the front. toxo Posted November 30, 2023 Report Posted November 30, 2023 Great job. I'm a big fan of practical projects. Someone's gonna love that. Quote
Members DwightT Posted November 30, 2023 Members Report Posted November 30, 2023 That's a beautiful little sheath, and I love the way your mark is incorporated into the carving. I keep saying that I need to get myself a makers mark, and after seeing how yours works I'm thinking I'll have to come up with a round design also. /dwight Quote
Members TomE Posted November 30, 2023 Members Report Posted November 30, 2023 (edited) You have an attractive maker's mark that adds to the style. Good looking project. I got excited thinking you had tooled bridle leather - I have a fair number of shoulder/belly scraps to use - but I guess English bridle is a color of dye. Edited November 30, 2023 by TomE Quote

He helped me refine my design to that which all my work now bears. And his team created the very stout stamp that makes that mark. Quote

Practical projects are all I do... Mostly custom work. Sheaths, wallets, belts, and any other thing I can think of/design to meet a specific need in someones life. Quote
