Hello Everyone,

I have a singer 111G156.  I had a broken timing belt. Replaced the belt and adjusted the timing marks. The machine sewed beautifully in forward but as soon as I used reverse it jumps and staggers in both forward and reverse. I would apprieciate any help.

Thank you,

Tina

Is it looping underneath when it does this?If so you might need to tighten your upper tension.

Thank you for reply Bob. The whole machine starts to make a clunking sound and it won’t sew in forward or reverse once you use reverse. I have checked timing marks and started over.

sewing great again until I used reverse, then the same thing happened.

Hi Glen,

I will attempt a video of what it is doing. I am not very well versed on videos so it might take me a bit to send.
