First Wallet

Recommended Posts

Just a super simple, minimalist wallet for a friend. Decided to dabble in an arena away from my regular stuff a little. I'm here to learn and open to suggestions.

Looks great. Nice work. What color of dye did you use? Almost has a Buttero leather look to me.

The main body is mahogany, the card sleeves are dark brown (my dark brown is lighter than my light brown and I'm not sure why, perhaps because they aren't pro dyes) and is finished with leather sheen. I have no idea what Buttero is, but ill be off to the google machine.

Conceria Walpier Buttero is a Italian veg tan leather. I love it because of the hand/firmness it has & the way the edges burnish up. Really nice leather to work with & tons of colors.

I just recently started using some of it for my wallets & I love the end results when finished.
