Froghunter Posted February 16, 2008 Report Posted February 16, 2008 Thanks to one of my wonderful friends...yes a member here....CECIL, I decided to try my hand at tooling a belt for myself. I got the floral pattern out of the Lucky 8 Belt book that we sell. The tools were hand drawn as was my makers mark in place of a name. I am very happy with the results, I think it turned out really good for my first attempt. Thanks to Cecil for giving me the courage to go at it! I see now that belts are probably my bane, as they are much more difficult to carve because of the space available. But I am sure that this won't be my last!!! Let me know what you think!!!! sorry about the pic quality, I think my camera is dyin'! Quote ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Pounding on dead animal flesh, who woulda Thunk it!

I'm a sucker for symetry and originality. The S & C are Civil War vintage, don't cha know. I'm not a bettin' man but if I were I'd, also, bet this isn't the last we'll see of Froghunter belts!!! Froghunter Posted February 23, 2008 Author Report Posted February 23, 2008 Well, since we all love pictures.....Here is a scrap project. I needed a coodinating pouch for my multitool that matched the new belt.... This is what I came up with. I know the lacing is terrible, I had a blow out on the left side, (Bad scrap) and had to repunch the holes on the inside. The flap is uneven and I didn't have enuf lace to do the multiple holes to make it close in better (literally had 1 3/4 inch left!) But it serves the purpose, and since I am still a learning amatuer, I am happy with it! what do ya think?
