What blue did you use?

If you want to keep the brim flat or curved the way you want it; sew a thin strip of leather to the edge of the brim and over it, then slip a 2mm aluminium wire in it

no issues some colors can look like others at times, with lighting & such. to be fair turquoise is close to blue
