What machine do I choose?

Recommended Posts

Good morning dear group, I am writing to you this time looking for an opinion.

I am planning to buy a cylindrical arm head to make backpacks, and accessories in leather and vinyl, or medium heavy material and I have 3 options of head models that are in my budget but the truth is that there is so much difference between each one and much less . what will be the best option

these are my options

Pfaff 335

Brother LS3-C53-050

SEIKO LSC-8B-1

What do you consider medium weight?? How thick??

What size of thread do you want to use???

Are the machines being offered by an individuals or companies???

Personally I wouldn't choose either I would prefer to look for something with a wider range of thread selection as I think all three would limit the thread size selection to V92 max. I would suggest finding a Juki or clone as replacement parts and accessories are easier and cheaper to find.

you can run #138 in the Brother which is like a 227 Consew.

kilogramos

The machines are offered by private sellers, I am not sewing anything very thick such as tanned leather, I am sewing a lot of vinyl and leather of a thickness similar to vinyl, I would like to spend no more than 1100 just on a head.

I´d choose the BROTHER - clone of a Singer 153w (but with reverse) or the later Seiko CW-8 and / or Consew 227R. Its a Singer based machine and parts will be available probably for ever and the accessories like presser feet sets are cheap.
