Thanks Holly,I measure to the center across and then use my compass.No need to worry about making a mark on the center of the leather cuz I have to punch it out to put my clockworks in. I do like to let my pattern spill over the edge of the clock face here and there which helps to break up the circle a little in case my knife wanders off the line. One more thing I do when dying a black background is not to worry to much about all the real small places to much. I put on a thin coat of neat-lac and let it dry and then use highlighter to fill in all the small and hard to get places. Another thing for those who have not used black as a background. If you noticed I left the edges of the leaves and roses a very light color so that they are seperated from the black. Dan Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
